Description

General

CAG3-C12 series C-module Operating mechanism is a supporting equipment for closing and dividing operation of load switch in Gas Insuulated switchgear. This series mechanism adopts flat vortex spring accumulation to control closing and dividing action of load switch, and adopts compression spring over-center accumulation to control closing and dividing action of disconnector switch. The working position has three operating stations: closing, dividing and disconnector.

This series of products are delivered from the factory after full inspection and comply with GB 3804-2004 “3 6KV-40.5KV High Voltage AC Load Switch”, GB3906-2006 “3.6KV-40.5KV AC Metal Enclosed Switchgear and Controlgear” and “Related Requirements for High Voltage AC Load Switch-Fuse Combined Electrical Appliance”.

Operating instructions for spring mechanism

Closing operation:
The upper cabinet of the mechanism is installed and fixed, the special handle of the mechanism is put on the operating shaft located in the upper part of the mechanism, the handle is rotated clockwise by about 90°, the vortex spring of the mechanism is compressed to the critical point of energy release, and the energy release momentum pushes the load switch to close the main circuit.

Switching operation:
When manually dividing the switch, the special handle of the mechanism is placed on the operating shaft at the upper part of the mechanism, and the handle is rotated counterclockwise by approximately 90°, the vortex spring of the mechanism is compressed to the critical point of energy release, and the energy is released to push the load switch to complete the main circuit breaking action.

Grounding and Breaking:
Grounding closing: Put the special handle of the mechanism into the lower grounding operation shaft of the mechanism and rotate it about 90° clockwise, the grounding accumulator spring will release energy instantly when it compresses past the midpoint to push the grounding switch to complete the grounding closing, at this time the mechanism interlocking locks and the main circuit closing cannot be carried out.
Grounding and breaking: Put the special handle of the body into the grounding operation shaft of the lower part of the body and rotate it about 90° counterclockwise, the grounding accumulator spring will instantly release energy when compressed past the midpoint to push the grounding switch to complete the grounding and breaking, at this time the interlock of the body is open and the load switch can be closed and broken.
